How to enable Google Authenticator using Google Chrome Browser in coinpass web app?

Prefer to use Google Authenticator without a mobile app? You can easily set it up as a browser extension for enhanced security on your coinpass account.

  1. Install Authenticator Extension:
    1. Go to the Google Authenticator extension page.
    2. Click on Add to Chrome > Add Extension to confirm adding the Authenticator as an extension.

    3. Pin the Authenticator App to your browser toolbar for easy access.


  2. Setup Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) on coinpass:
    1. Log in to your account and navigate to the Security page.
    2. Select Two Factor Authentication and click the Secure Now button. A QR code will be displayed.
    3. Link Authenticator App:
      1. Click the pinned Authenticator icon in the browser toolbar.
      2. Click the Edit icon and then the (+) plus icon to add an account.
      3. Choose Scan QR Code and capture the QR code displayed on the coinpass security page.
  3. Complete 2FA Setup:
    1. After scanning, a confirmation prompt will indicate that your email address has been added.
    2. Click the Next button to open the window for entering the 2FA verification code.
    3. Type the 2FA code generated by the Authenticator extension and click the Secure Now button.

Congratulations! You've successfully enabled Google Authenticator for your coinpass account using the Chrome browser extension.
