How to start the KYC process on the coinpass mobile app?

To trade on coinpass, we require all users to complete the Know Your Client (KYC) onboarding process. Follow these steps to start the KYC process:

  1. Access The Get Started Button:
    1. Begin by logging into your account.
    2. Tap on Get Started to start the KYC process.
  2. Upgrade KYC Level:
    1. Click the Upgrade button to proceed to the next KYC level.
    2. You l need to complete the Bronze KYC to deposit and trade.
  3. Complete the KYC Verification:
    1. You will be prompted to follow a link on your mobile device to complete the next stage.
    2. Follow the instructions provided in the link to upload the required identification documents and any other necessary information.

What to Expect During KYC Verification:

  • Personalized Risk Warning: Understand the risks involved in crypto trading.
  • Investor Categorization & Appropriateness Test: Determine your investor profile and ensure crypto trading is suitable for you. Please read our Investor Risk Disclosure for more information.
  • Business Details: Fill in your business details as part of the requirement to properly verify the account.
  • Business KYC Documents: Upload your business documents and ensure the documents provided are valid and up-to-date.
  • Company Ownership Structure: Please select if you are the solo owner of the company or there are multiple owners/directors.
    • Solo Owner/Director: If you are the only owner or director, the next step is to proceed with the Electronic ID Verification.
    • Multiple Owners/Directors: If there are more than one owner or director, each director needs to undergo verification. You need to select who is the main contact from the added list of owners/directors and upload the share document.Once the director is added, there will be an email sent to the director’s email address to access the personal account by using the temporary password. Please set the new password and continue to complete KYC for each director. Note: The temporary password only lasts for 7 days and it needs to be used before it expires.
  • Business Account Confirmation: Thick the acknowledgement sections and click the continue button to finish the Business KYC process.
  • Electronic Identity Verification:
    • Resident Verification: Verify if you are a US resident or Non-US resident.
    • Applicant Data: Fill up your data such as first and last name, date of birth, address and Postcode.
    • Liveness Check: Allow camera access from your web browser to continue with a liveness check. Follow the instructions to complete the process. 
    • Photo ID Verification: Provide your identity documentation such as passport or driver's license.
    • Proof of Address Verification: Enable your geolocation via web browser or choose to upload the proof of address document.
