How to whitelist an external crypto wallet address in the coinpass web app?

To whitelist an external crypto wallet address, please see the following steps.

  1. Access your account: Begin by logging in to your account.
  2. Navigate to the Security section: 
    1. Click on the Account Profile Icon in the top right corner. 
    2. From the dropdown, click on Security.
  3. Initiate the Wallet Whitelisting process: 
    1. Click on the Wallet Whitelisting option from the left navigation pane. 
    2. Click on Add Wallet Whitelisting.
  4. Review and Confirm:
    1. Review the information displayed on the acknowledgment page and check the box to confirm. 
    2. Click the Next button to continue with the whitelisting process.
  5. Select Crypto Asset: Choose the specific cryptocurrency for which you want to whitelist an external wallet address.
  6. Enter Wallet Address: Manually enter the external wallet address.
  7. Assign Wallet Name: Provide a descriptive name for the whitelisted wallet address for easy identification.
  8. Specify Address Origin: Indicate whether the wallet address belongs to an exchange (Exchange Address) or is privately owned (Privately Owned).
  9. Select Exchange Platform: If you selected Exchange Address in step 8, choose the corresponding exchange platform from the drop-down list.
  10. Enter 2FA Code: Provide the 2FA code generated by your preferred 2FA app, such as Google Authenticator or Authy.
  11. Review and Confirm: Review the information displayed on the acknowledgment page and check the box to confirm. Click on Confirm to finalise the whitelisting process.
  12. Whitelisting Confirmation: Upon successful completion, you will receive a notification confirming that the new crypto wallet address has been added to your whitelist.

To safeguard your account and assets, all newly whitelisted external wallet addresses are subject to a 24-hour cooldown period. During this period, you will be unable to withdraw cryptocurrency to these newly added addresses. This enforced cooldown serves as an additional layer of security to protect against unauthorised withdrawals.

Please note that only whitelisted addresses can be used for cryptocurrency withdrawals. To ensure seamless withdrawal processes, we recommend adding your intended withdrawal addresses to your whitelist in advance.
